Default Me mincemeat is too runny.

Just added too much Grand Marnier and Sherry to some decent mincemeat.
I want to thicken it up so the pies won't be too runny.

What can I use to thicken it?

(didn't have any Brandy, so I improvised..... )

Have you tried heating it...the liquid will evaporate and the mixture should thicken.

No you'll still have the taste...bring it to boiling point and let it simmer. Remember it will thicken more once it cool.

Yeah, thats why I didn't use portland cement, walpaper paste, or grass cuttings.

Thanks, Tom for your invaluable assistance.

What is your wife thinking of...letting you loose in the kitchen?

Adding flour or corn starch will thicken it but it will taste like crap.

Heating it is the only way to thicken it. Now do as you're told.

Its cheaper than putting a coin in the mix.

Yes, I know that's pudding. Have one of them too.
Aren't you supposed to put in a sixpence? What is the new version?
