I'm curious as to how the Mexican immigrant (legal or otherwise) population has hurt and degraded the lifestyle of the OP. Please outline in specifics of how and why you arrived at your opinion.
I'm sure it is a hardship to have a maid.

And a pool.

Please share with us the sacrifices you've been forced to make at the hands of the Mexican immigrant (legal or otherwise) population.

As for the rest of you, who chose to make cruel jokes instead of calling the OP on these remarks, you are just as bad as she is.

Lucky I don't get offended when people tell irish jokes
Like I said earlier, there are two seperate parts of this immigration debate - the people who employ them and the immigrants themselves.
- Employers should be jailed for 10 years for employing any illegals - it is slave labour in all but name.
- You cannot, under any circumstances enter a country illegally, then demand anything but a one-way ticket back home from said country - to ask for citizenship or rights is just plain daft - if you want either go back home and join the queue to do it the right way.
So how do you solve the problem - well in typical Corporate American style the little man and woman (ie the immigrant) will be crushed. Maybe if some CEO's did hard time though the problem might actually get solved.
Rant over

Having said that, what else are they to do - go back to Mexico ??
Shows how bad things must be there if they are prepared to put up with the sh*te they face here in order to stay.

Big Davy is being dense. Of course you can have illegal immigration followed by legal and political change. The entire history of the planet has developed precisely because of such immigrations, which are nothing more than movements of people. None of it is an excuse for intolerance, stupidity and racism. Davy you continue to throw out red herrings and refuse to deal with the issues at hand.

Oh, and as far as this debate goes there is stupidity on many sides.
The fact of the matter is that many people have gone to the trouble of entering the US LEGALLY - why should people who have entered ILLEGALLY be catered to ??
If they don't like it in the US under the current conditions then they can go back from whence they came until the US pulls its finger out of its ass and comes up with legislation to prevent the current exploitation.
Seems quite simple to me.
