Ah, do you mean the Tightwad Gazette by Amy Dacizian (or whatever her name is? Now that sure is extreme frugality! Some useful information though - now collected in book form and available from a public library near you!

Just remembered Jonathan Pond; he's written a couple of good personal finance books, and his website also contains a lot of useful information: http://www.jonathanpond.com/

Yup -- her surname is pronounced "decision" but it's spelt something like Dacyzkyn -- or some such. And yeah, it's EXTREME! Goes beyond the usual washing and ironing of aluminium foil! :scared: :scared:

Well, as goes the whole 'bargain'/'deals' bit of the site mentioned by the OP... There's a few decent ones which deal with US stores:

DVDs:
http://www.dvdtalk.com/forum/index.php - In DVD Bargains

Electronics:
http://forums.anandtech.com/ - In Hot Deals

And a couple of general ones:
http://www.pricegrabber.com/
http://www.dealsofamerica.com/

The DVDtalk bargain forum in particular is excellent.

I looked for the same thing, found nothing equivalent.

Martin was a regular on Radio 5, but mainly in the morning.

My addition to the list.

Part of the problem is so much is State specific.
