Walmart made a stink a few years ago about mandating only supplying things made in China to up their revenue...wonder if they ever did a U-turn.

If you were truly patriotic in this way you would have done it by now, you whinging so and so. Just because you have little support, resources etc for this shouldn't be an excuse for failure, any more than residing in a shitty economy... Jeez, that's the same p!ss poor excuse Obama has been using... ()

Damn. Guess I'll have to shelve that plan

But seriously, the manufacturing industry is in a crisis. Things are becoming almost feudalistic.

Here's a scholarly article about feudalism.

It certainly seems a lot like the manufacturing industry to me.

I would not say Feudal, but there are obvious historical examples.

Not a situation that has a long term future, there has to be correction.

The only issue is how and when.

I would be hard pressed to think of an example where there was an easy transition.

Sounds like a load of old bollocks to me.

Anyway, OP will get a half hard to hear that I paid twice as much for my 'Made in California' Fender Strat; whilst taking a meal off the table of a poor Mexican luthier in the process ...

I'm sorry, but on these two point alone, never mind the others, your argument is very naive. I honestly don't know where to start.

America isn't a democracy anyway. It's a republic.

There are always exceptions, right?!
I paid for my hand wired American Dr Z in preference to something mass produced in China.

But my TV is not made in America, and likely never will be. Can't afford to be too picky!!
