Looking at getting health insurance - what an ordeal!

Re: Looking at getting health insurance - what an ordeal!
You won't find an dental plan, IMHO, that has a high coverage. I have two plans that I am on, my own and my husband's. My own is Atena through my firm and has a cap of $1,500 and my husband's is a cap of $2,000. My Atena plan is $7.00 a money with a $50 deductible and my husband's is free. The dentist bills my insurance company first and then bills the rest to hubby's insurance company and they usually pick up about 1/2 of the remaining charge. Again, except for one instance, I have never had to pay the remainder. Again, I only use dentists that work within the plan and this is their agreement with the insurance, that they will accept insurance payment as payment in full. The work that I once had to pay for was for the part of the work that was deemed cosmetic and I budgeted for that by adding that amount at the start of the fiscal year to my FSA so that while I paid the dentist it was paid with tax free money.
As for insurance companies, google for that information on your life insurance. No one can give you a quote on this forum because premiums are based on your age, health, lifestyle, etc. You have diabetes. You will not find cheaper life insurance coverage than the one provided by your company, at least that is my opinion.

This is similar to my and DH's coverage....mine used to be free (now about $5 a month as is DH's which covers us and my adult children in college). It is well worth it as DH has had several visits to specialists the first year he was in the US and my kids both needed their wisdom teeth out last year. I think I paid a total of $95 for the year, which like you was budgeted for in my FSA.
