I've just been wanting to ask you what your sigline means and this seemed like as good a place as any to do it.;)

What does your sigline mean? (Not the ones and zeros, the part about looking like your avatar)

 Just having fun with all the people that have the avatar pics below their name and the amusing things they put up there. I see so many that are obviously just there for the amusement of others, that I thought I'd have a little fun of my own without having an "alter ego". ;)

Make any sense?

So does the OP have a visa or already a USC then?

Anyway, depending on the visa, next consideration would be schooling I'd guess.

Don't look at house prices because it doesn't mean much these days, cost of living, taxes in the area, how much petrol you'll use, groceries and medical insurance are usually greater concerns.

"It's all 1's and 0's" could be referring to binary code..or you could be saying everything is black and white.

Since my avi is my kitty, no I don't wish to look like him. :D

Or a desperate wish to be like Ray's "it's only pixels".

Your cat is weird looking, sunfl. It's time you knew.

Still don't know, but being told how to do our hanging out on the boards.

It's idiotic. If he wants to know data about those places, he can look them up on any number of sites (it's a very curious combination of places). If he wants to know what other Brits think of them, well, How to Win Friends and Influence People is all I have to say to that.

Hey, just think, now because of this maybe he'll bookmark the BE site as the website britishexpatsandnoseygits.com in his favourites, of course if he does, everyone on here will probably want to know why, how, when and whatfor :p

Whoa! More often than not, such information is required to answer a question correctly. If a poster comes to the forums with a legit question on a living and working in the US, then the poster has to be willing to give information that some might consider personal. Its not like they had to give name, rank and serial number.

The poster has the option of not using the internet for his research and just booking an appointment with an immigration attorney.

Just a gentle reminder that these forums are not set up to be used for mocking people. Read the site rules and play by them.

Please explain how telling us what type of visa the OP has/is hoping to get is giving away personal info?

Honestly, if everyone that wanted to contribute just answered the bloke's question about location rather than giving him the third degree and getting all wound up about his visa possibilities, things would become less heated. ;)

Why don't you just answer all the bloke's questions right now, while we wait until he has provided us with the information we'd like to know from him?

Seems fair enough to me....

:rofl: Sense of humor is an understatement. Did you see the other choices! Frankly, if your looking for anywhere that is gun toting free - do not even consider any of the places 'put to you.'

Look, ABY, the OP is clearly determined to be secretive and does not want to be shot.

How about if you and I pledge to shoot him in the face, the day he lands here? Then the uncertainty would be removed and we could all move on.

FYI: The idea that Americans walk around strapped is a ridiculous myth and Americans (although we have a good sense of humour) do not find that funny at all as it is so unfounded. I hate political correctness, but am fed up with it only being socially acceptable to dis Americans and not any other nationality.

You haven't lived in London long enough. Get a few years under your belt and you'll come to realise that the worst thing you can be is a white, heterosexual wage-earner.

Technically, I'm not even all three, but it's pissed me off enough that I'm emigrating.

I don't understand how your reply applies to my comment to the original poster...? Though I agree with your comments. I have been living in London for 8 1/2 years actually and know what you are talking about...
