Default Questions Questions Questions!

Derrrrrrrr - Sorry, what's West Nile?

Can anyone recommend the best/strongest repellant (particularly for children)?
Also, the machine, that runs on propane gas, is that for indoors? How much do they cost?

Finally, is it normal for schools to have no windows? I'm sure my elementary school in MA had windows but perhaps it's different in the South.

Thanks Guys

I wish they had it when we were in Arkansas, I was always bitten to death...

Check your local government pages in your phone book for mosquito control.

I always use OFF, it works pretty good. There are probaly stronger ones but ne careful using ones too strong on kids.

The propane mossie thing is for out doors, if you keep screens closed you won't get thenm in and in summer with A/C on you won't have the doors/windows open anyway. It costs $90ish

My daughters elementry here in Florida has no windows, seems pretty common here.
Hope this helps

I live right near Destin (my local beach). Lovely here isn't it?
We only arrived in October so apart from a quick house hunting holiday in June I haven't experienced the summer here. Not as hot as Arkansas summer from what I here... Very hot though!!

Mossie propane machine - round us they're a couple of hundred bucks upwards - check out samsclub.com and search on mosquito (Suziecue - reckon theres a business oppy here? You buy em, ship em to me, I flog em, split the diff - retire to florida!! )

Repellant - not sure hwat the best is for kids - we're using a "herbal" one at the moment that seems pretty good. Avoid anything with deet in it for toddlers and below - not sure what the 'safe' age is for starting on deet.

School windows - not been inside the schools here, but there certainly aren't windows visible from the outside. Maybe they have them facing 'inwards' don't know.

Just move to Nevada. We're bug-free.

Plus it's like living in Phoenix. Zero humidity and 120 degree days. I never use sunblock myself. I like having a nice tan 300 days out of the year myself.

Nice!

we have been there 3 times, we love it. very easy to get burnt as in the afternoon the sea breeze kicks in, so it feels cooler than it really is.

My 3 brother-in-laws went deep sea fishing last time we went, I ballied on the trip as I woke up at 5.00 in the morning with the squits, and didn't fancy sitting on a boat for 8 hours and running to the carsey every 5 mins shitteing thru an eye of a needle!.

anyways... they were burnt beyond belief, and had to pass on getting a skin full, for 2 nights in a row

I checked this week and found them for $99 in Big Lots called mosquito deleto, we will definately get one when the bugs come out soon.
