Norcross has a British store called Taste of Britain.
I like Roswell, there is some nice subdivisions near Harrys Market (which also sells British Food) and is near Wills Park which is a nice place to visit.
There is also a great British meet up group who could help you at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/expatbritsinatlanta/

Great - thanks a lot for that link. I think it will be very usefull...

In addition to the Golden Isles, she was talking about right on the line-GA/FL border.

Was there at the beginning of the year for a work conference. It's nice. Back there again at the start of 2008. Looking forward to it.

Could only afford the one night, even at travel agent rates-meatloaf dinner there was 30 bucks!!!

Afterwards, we toddled on down to St Augustine for a few days before DH went back to UK to wait out his visa approval, had a half price room at the Casa Monica which is a turn of the century hotel right in town that's been done up.

I would like to check out the Jekyll Island Club on Jekyll Island, supposed to be nice. There are other nice places too on the Golden Isles , but not cheap!!

http://www.jekyllclub.com/photogallery.asp?gallery_id=3 We had a vacation cottage on Jekyll Island for many years. I loved the old "Millionaires Village" and their so called "cottages" lol the Island Club has a great dining room overlooking the wharf, where the shrimp boats come in , and the marshes of glynn made famous by Stanley Lanier's poems. Its well worth a visit and not too far from you think its about 60 miles or so to Savannah from the area

Thank you for the info-I do want to explore there along the coast before it gets any more developed. :frown: You're right, it's not too far since we are south of Savannah.

I was lucky that the company paid for the 3-night stay. I would have died if I got that bill :D

If you need any Brit goodies, there is a British food shop in Norcross, pricey but it should meet your real desperate needs.
