They are very good ones indeed and we have many. Just in the area they are wanting to have as Little Britain there is one of each, and two British grocery stores plus a pub.

When I have taken visiting Brits down there they are always thrilled with the puddings at the tea shop, reminds most people of childhood favorites.

I take it you don't was an area of NYC to be called Little Britain then

My favorite is the Plaza, always was and it is so close to my apartment it takes minutes. Can't wait for it to re-open

Personally, I don't care one way or another. Certainly no objections. The main British store Myers of Keswick (Slightly dour owner), is not on the same st or that near ( By NYC standards) to Tea & S , if there is to be a "Little Britain", shouldn't it be around Myers.
Just my humble opinion.

It is a few minutes away, I always go to both when I go down there, pretty much 'round the corner'. One to have tea and buy a few novelty things and Myers for pasties (potato, cheese and onion, yummy) and groceries! The Little Britain area includes them both as I said and the pub (never been in there) Myers is ALWAYS grumpy

Hi Veronica jayne, they are nearly a ΒΌ mile apart, by Texas or FL standards they are close. By NYC, not exactly on the same block.
May I ask, how long have you lived there, what area?

As well as Myers the area that would be Little Britain includes The White Horse (most depressing pub I have ever been in) Fiddlesticks I have had a few lunches in that pub, it is ok.

This is what I was led to believe anyway. The map I was shown included Stella Mccartney's place and Lulu Guinness

Errrrrrrm, I have been here over 30 years. Madison Ave in the 60's, same apartment all these years!! We walk here Frank. 1/4 mile is 5 blocks, I don't think it is that far, still, you can walk a block a minute on average so even if it is, it would be a five minute walk

Most New Yorkers consider 20 blocks a walkable distance.

So these establishments suck, and you want to collectively name them Little Britain? I love it! It'll be overrun with immigrants in no time.

Really! Where did you live Frank? Down in the West Village near the area in question? I have a friend who owns a house down there (with her husband), huge garden and very large balcony garden too. I love her house, four stories and two gardens on a beautiful tree lined street. Can't beat it. I have a small one bed roomed apartment but having the park behind it is like having a 300 acre garden (in my mind anyway)

I love all the places on the list, the White Horse I find very depressing, maybe because Dylan Thomas drank himself to death in there! The only time I was in there I sat in the little room full of his photos. People flock there, just not my thing.

How did you translate this into the places sucking Why on earth would I want it to be called Little Britain if they did
