It's revolting. What's worse is when they DO actually start typing it as well as using it in speech. It's almost become a substitute comma.

My son can even manage to get more than one every other word, quite an achievement really.

If it's any consolation teenagers in Maine are doing it too. Valley girl 'speak' has spread...I have to tell my daughter to stop, it's so bloody vacant sounding!
