Me, I'd rather have the money for beer. Which you will need to get through the nightmare that is Hartsfield Airport in Atlanta, but it's over with soon enough.
There are old jokes that people who die in the Midwest have to transfer to Heaven through O'Hare; people who die in the South have to transfer through Hartsfield

Re: least expensive flight from England to Orlando
You can't use it as a guideline because it's roundtrip travel which starts in the US. Pricing is generally higher if the travel starts in the UK. You could try to get round it by buying two one-way tickets but again, you'd get one segment originating in the US (cheaper) and then one originating in the UK (more expensive) rather than an overall cheaper US-originated roundtrip.
No it doesn't seem fair but the same holds true for roundtrips originating in Canada -- they are more expensive than the same roundtrip originating in the US (eg Toronto to Dallas return is more expensive than Dallas to Toronto roundtrip).
If anyone knows WHY this is true, I'd love to know, but in pricing flights I've found it to hold every time I've tried.

The taxes are what are outrageous on the transatlantic flights.
