Default Leaf Peeping

Well for those who like that sort of thing...

Just got back from a wedding over the weekend in CT, Essex/Seabrook area, lovely, shame about the weather being pants...but the leaves were turning nicely.

Down through I-91/84 It'll probably peak next week, and then heading up through I-395? That'll probably peak in two weeks, especially in the hills.

Apparently it's doing well down through Maine already, and it's looking nice out here in the burbs of Mass at the moment.

My parents left last Friday morning on a two week bus tour of the NE featuring Rhode Island and Maine. It was my Mom's idea... If I know my Dad he's currently in his own private hell trapped on a bus for two weeks with 40 women well past retirement age...

I don't see the appeal myself, unless it was an excuse for a bus tour to visit local breweries, be quite a lot of fun stops along the way then

Noticed some leaves were starting to change on the way down from Toronto last week but only a few.

Another couple of weeks the trees should be blazing with colour here in NW NJ.

haha no fall here, no seasons here...it just goes from sweltering to boiling and i don't know which is worse having said that the winters are quite mild, mid 80's>90's but then it gets tedious wearing summer clothes all year round.

Round by my house the trees are truley breathtaking this year. I almost crashed the car the other day trying to get a better look at a blazing bright red tree, that made everything under it glow red.

Completely off topic but the title reminded me of a story I heard of a mother and daughter who went on holiday to Wales one year.

They visited a local pub and on their way to the toilet, in the corridor they noticed there was a statue of Adam with his fig leaf. The fig leaf was hinged.

Leaving the loo, they took a quick look around, no one else was there, so they lifted the fig leaf.

Under it was a sign saying "you have just rung a bell in the bar"

To much embarrassment they realised that they couldn't get out without passing the locals who were doubled up with laughter...

Sorry, but I thought it was funny
