It would be fun if men dressed up more, maybe in those Elizabthan-type silky outfits and stuff.

this reminds me of "segs" as they where called in Brum (bits of metal nailed into the soles of your shoes to make them nosiy) .. my mate put them in his 18 hole docs

Yep I think that was the brand .. banned at my school after numerous name writing incidents on the wooden gym floor

You could also go to a cobblers and have "proper" metal tipped hells put on if you were posh and lived down south. They were called "Quarter tips". Im sure Gruff will remember them.
