I've heard of Coffin Ed Johnson and Grave Digger Jones - but otherwise no. We used to wear simple platforms with our 3-button high-waisters.

It was the fountain image.

There was also a thread about misunderstood lyrics and I always thought this one said "two loves, please", until I saw the lyrics written down.

Gravedigger shoes were those shoes that had a very wide sole and looked like you had two tortoise shells on your feet. Called "Gravediggers" in London because you could use them as spades.

If it's that important to you...
I'm not a slave to any particular designer names. I have favourites but I also dont like certain others.
I have nothing by any of the names you've so far mentioned.
Tell a lie...I have a Paul Smith shirt but I dont like it and have worn it once, in the bedroom infront of the mirror and never seen my skin since.

If there was a real BE land we would not be talking about naff fashion. After a few warm up drinks we would be shoving each others heads in the fountain quick antidote to all those never ending arguments Either that or celebrity boxing!
