My high school senior son swears that the following is a true account of a conversation yesterday between him and his psychology teacher:

Teacher: Where's your accent from?
Son: England.
Teacher: Really! Where abouts in England?
Son: London.
Teacher: I'm going to visit England this summer!

lol i always say to my USA citizen hubby that his english teacher and geography teacher must have had an easy time of things coz they just don't know it was said to me the other day by a usa woman that i spoke good english considering where i was from...lol
