Hi All
We live in Windsor CO and 2 days ago a tornado devastated our community.
DH was away working on west coast so me and kids alone. eldest 2 kids were at school huddled in school basement on lockdown all Ok- me and youngest were in our basement whilst it passed.
windows have been broekn etc due to the hail the size if baseballs and the noise was so intense - I have never ever feared for my life but I did then. My house was not damaged much but many of our friends houses have been wiped out - now the community is pulling together i have never seen so much love and comfort from everyone including people we have never met before
I hope I never have to go through that again - my children wont sleep alone etc its tough - but time will heal - I hope !!

Very scary, but glad you're all safe and things can be repaired. It's amazing how communities come together when tragedies happen.

SO glad you're all ok....that's the reason I was determined that we were going to buy a house with a basement,we've had several warning sirens over the years, but so far,so good (touch wood!)

Usually tornadoes mark a rite of passage for people in the Midwest, but I'm really surprised one touched down as far west as Colorado. I hope you haven't sustained too much damage and are able to get back on your feet asap, but it'll always be a good story to tell the grandkids
