It's always fun to be able to listen to radio shows from back home, even if it is kind of surreal to be listening to the drive-time show at lunchtime, and hearing about roadworks holding up traffic on the M-27 (some things never change!).

OMG.....they're the radio stations I tune into when I go home to visit my family in Coventry every Summer. I was at school with Jon (Jonathan) Gaunt who was a presenter on BBC Radio London on weekday mornings and he's now returned to Coventry to work on BBC radio there (a poor career move I would have thought) .....might try and tune in to his show if I can find it.

Where in Coventry did you visit? I used to work at Cov & Warwick Hospital in the operating theatres and we'd have the radio on all day depending on the surgeon. We used to listen to the competitions on Mercia and if we'd actually competed in them the staff would have had quite a few prizes between us. We just had fun playing the games. I also worked at Walsgrave, Rugby St Cross and Warwick Hospital,and occasionally at the little hospital at Stratford upon Avon (part of the Warwick trust). All of my friends back home live in Coventry.
