Actually, I work in the software industry, and Websense is pretty well configured here to prevent access to anything remotely dubious. I just wonder what he actually whacks off to? Through trial and error I've only found one thing which works for me.

It's to take a flight which arrives in the UK (or intended destination) late afternoon or in the evening. By the time you reach the place you're going to, you just go to bed and wake up the next morning as usual.

A couple of times when I've arrived at Heathrow early in the day after an overnight flight, I've almost had accidents on the M25 and M40 by momentarily falling asleep at the steering wheel of a rental car....then you feel like hell for the rest of the day whilst trying to stay awake until evening.

I came to this conclusion after spending a few years going Westbound to the UK from Singapore (13 hour flight if nonstop - landing at LHR at 5.30am, yikes) and Eastbound from Newark NJ or JFK.....the overnight flight is about 6.5 hours and the pits...you only get about 2 or 3 hours sleep by the time the meal service has ended and you wake up at about 7.30am UK time and then try to stay awake until night time. I just can't cope with it and now will only fly on a daytime flight. My husband takes the overnight flight all the time and goes straight into meetings in London, but it would finish me off..

I do sympathise if anyone is flying from a US city which only has flight connections which arrive in the UK in the morning, it really is bad to get over the jetlag as it usually takes one day per each hour of time difference for one's body to re-adjust.

I know exactly what you mean and even late night telly can't put you to sleep. Trying having a large alcoholic drink before bed, within 2 nights I'm back to my normal sleeping pattern
