Default International Tax adviser

Hi,

Can anyone recommend an international tax adviser specialising in US and UK taxes based in the London area?

I will be gaining a green card shortly and have some complicated questions around tax liabilities.

I am currently in the process of winding up my consultancy business using ESC16 and am anxious that the US may try to tax me on tax exempt earnings from the business.

Many thanks

BB

I moved your post to the USA forum where it will get more of the right eyeballs on it.
Since you won't become a Permanent Resident until you 'land' in the US with your visa, you can divide your activities into 'before PR' and 'after PR'. Permanent Residents need to declare their worldwide income to the US tax folk, IRS.
the main reason I've seen the topic come up is with regard to a real estate sale and capital gains tax.

It's notoriously hard to find someone who is actually qualified to help you; stick with it!

You might find an answer here: talk.uk-yankee.com/

US expats in the UK. Many have had to go through the whole US-UK tax thing and know some folks in London they can recommend.

Can you post a bit more information? I assume you are referring to Extra-statutory concession A16 which talks about annual payments (excluding interest) made out of tax exempt income.
