insurance on inlaw visit to US

My wife's parents have a visa to visit us for six months. There are many companies advertising medical insurance for this online, but I don't know who to trust. According to my relatively large employer, it is not something that is sold by our Blue Cross provider. In a search of this forum, I only found some threads associated with insurance issues in Canada, but nothing in the US. Any experiences, warnings, rumors?

Thanks - I didn't see that thread when I did a search earlier. It confirms the need to have insurance and someone on that thread left a link for insurance companies, but the link is now dead. Anybody have any experiences to report with particular companies or vendors, any recommendations?

Also, I am afraid that this is the wrong forum for this question -- I had posted this on the US marriage visa forum on the expectation that many of us have or will have this issue arrise, but the post got moved. Lemmie know if anyone thinks that I should just leave it to die here or if I should again attempt to post there.

Bob

I moved it as it is not an immigration question. If you were to get responses it would be in this forum rather than in an immigration forum.
