INS (Texas) slow????

Hi to everyone here (my first posting).
The amount of time we are looking at to wait for this process to get completed is incredible! We are so in love and even one day of delay is like an eternity... don't the INS know this?
My finacee in the USA sent the 129 package over to the Texas INS office on May 9th, but only on June 1st did they manage to cash the check that was in the package! Still nothing in the mail from them.
The question is this: Is our time so far unusual or good or bad?
Any advice is welcome...

Don't worry. I recived my first NOA appx 7 days after they cashed my check.

First NOA arrived this morning.
My lady is "crying inside" at these delays. It's tough :-(
