Income Tax information
On question 25 of form I-864 you need to list your income for the last 3 years. If you have income in the last year to qualify but years 2 and 3 you did not have any income will you not qualify.
As an example. When sponsering one person you have an income last year of $30,000.00 but in year 2 and 3 you have zero income.
Will you not qualify because of no income year 2 and 3?

It is your current income that must meet the 125% of the poverty guidelines. You will be fine with the two years prior to that not meeting the requirement.

kq,
That alone will not disqualify you, but in combination with other factors it may.
As Rete has said, it's current income that must meet the requirement. The current income must also be sustainable. Past income history is one of several factors that provide an indication of sustainability. Your income history is too short to provide such indication.
If the person who reviews your I-864 feels that your current income may not be sustainable then you may be asked to get a joint sponsor. This has happened on occassion, usually to people who are fresh out of school and are just starting their first job.
