And it'll be canned before being given a chance....but it'll also be far to tame that no one will bother with it that knew the original, but be to much for anyone who didn't know what it was based on.

I'll stick with the originals thanks. Why do they insist on remaking crappy versions of shows that are pretty much perfect as-is? Bleh.

I got yelled at by my wife for saying this back when I first heard it was planned (when we were in the middle of watching it on BBCA for the first time) but I'll say it again - it just won't work. It's too British, relates too much to a British school experience. Schools here are too shit to be funny.

I have 'em all at home, ready to be watched at a moment's notice. I really should get a region free DVD player though, 'tis a pain in the arse trying to watch them on my computer
