Not able to take part in the Workers Holiday Visa, so that kind of kills the back packing idea, NZ allow it for yanks with a bond paid up front, but that's it.
Getting a work visa for the UK, points system, have to be in demand and have a lot of experience. It's fairly easy if you've the tech skills, other wise it ain't.
