I want to move to Sugar Land, TX
Well the Alaska thing did not happen so me and the kids are leaving Dallas and going to Sugar Land to get back with mom.
Thoughts? I like it. Visited several times while she has been working down there.
It's got a nice town center, Indian restaurants, bars etc
I like the hot summers. What's not to love?

Sugarland seems nice. We looked but ruled it out for traffic to OH's work. We were told by realtor that it has gone downhill a bit in last 3 years, but can't really comment as I don't know.

It used to rank at the top of those 'surveys' that popped up from time to time as best small town or best suburb to raise a family or something. It hasn't been featuring recently. Not that I put much store in those, but a friend who works in law enforcement reckons the crime stats are climbing in Sugarland so maybe that has something to do with it. Shame, because it always seems like a nice place to me - and it actually has something resembling a town center, which is a rarity round here!
