I would agree there but the machine is pretty cool, even just to watch.

We don't just make bread in it either. We make piza dough as well as a wide variety of regular breads.
At the moment the misses is really into making corriander Nans to go with the Indian food we love so much.

Yes its just another gadget, but what the hell !! We live in America !!

Made my first loaf last night with the machine. It turned out OK for a first attempt. Just needs a slight adjustment. I made my (6 yr old) son's sandwiches with it this morning , and he was very impressed. I was feeling very proud of myself until I asked him as he was leaving, why his bag was so heavy, and he innocently replied " I have heavy bread sandwiches." http://www.discodelic.netfirms.com/happy-blush2.gif

You put all the ingredients in the machine, set it to come on in the middle of the night, then you wake up to a warm, fresh-baked, loaf. :)

We got a bread machine as a wedding gift. I've baked a few mean loafs in it. :D We usually buy a french loaf from either Albertsons or Fry's. Baked fresh daily and only 99cents.

Whats up with potato bread? Just about all the hamburger and hot dog buns we get are called potato bread.

A friend of mine says that she just uses the bread machine to raise the dough. I can see her point, as all the bread machines I have seen seem to have loaves that are tall and small- ie height-length. Also dont they leave a huge hole in the middle?
