I-751 Death of Spouse
Hi there,
I have been married for just under 3 years. My wife and I filed the i-751 to remove my conditions on my residency. However, after filing the paperwork, my wife unfortunately died giving birth to our son. I haven't heard anything from USCIS about the I-751. I was wondering if I need to refile the I-751 stating that my wife died, or do I just wait until the interview? I also wanted to find out what my chance of being able to stay in the United States was now my US spouse died. If I have to refile the I-751 how do I actually go about doing that?
Thanks,
pp279

Omg....I have no advice to offer - but all I can offer is my sincere sympathy at this difficult time.
I hope you have lots of support from family and friends.
Where are you located....is there anything any of us expats can do to help in any way?

Well that sucks.
I'd get a lawyer if I were you.

Sorry to hear that. Don't know what the procedure is, but I'm fairly sure that you are entitled to stay. Don't know what you have to do to prove your case.

I'm really sorry to hear about what has happened, can't imagine what you must be going through right now, and I echo what Englishmum said. Can't offer you any advice regarding your visa, but would suggest a visit to the immigration forum on here - I've often found good advice on visas there.

What kind of a reply is "Well that sucks"??? You insensitive, low-life piece of shit! You shoud be ashamed of yourself.

Do you think anyone in their right mind would make a 1st post to a bunch of strangers stating their spouse had died?

The jury is still out on the low-life piece of shit though.
