Sorry for dragging this back up (been busy the last few days, see superfun naturalization timeline thread in visas), however...

... I get a phone call a few months ago from my mum.

mum: "The lesbians next door want to keep chickens!"
me: "erm... ok"
mum: "they came round and asked if it was okay, I said I'd ask your father"
me: "erm... ok... what did he say?"
mum: "he's not home yet"
me: "well call me back when you've talked to him then"

couple of hours later...

Dad: "she told you about next door and the chickens?"

Dad: "Right, no problem with that. Did she tell you about the cocks?"
