Actually, make that 6. I was in the local pub a couple of weeks back and chatted a bit with a couple and discovered the wife came from Coventry, where I went to Uni and lived for 9 years. Weird sitting in a bar in NJ talking about how good the chips in Coopers on Gulson Road are...

The univeristy I am at has a gaggle of students from Reading here as part of their meteorology degree programs but I'm not sure they count as they're only here for a year before they disappear again.

There are a couple profs I run into in the library from Britain who on closer inspection seem to have wound up here because their partners are American, much like me I suppose.

It's not really a hotspot for Brits, for some reason Oklahoma isn't a top destination...

Yay a couple more for the Oklahoma crew... Edmond isn't too far, in fact I'll be running not too far from Edmond next weekend in the OKC Marathon...

There's also an unknown Brit in town with a Union Jack outside their home but I haven't spotted them yet unless it's one of the profs.

Ran into a Brit whom I hadn't met before at the Southern Ideal Home Show. He's originally from Basingstoke and has lived in the US for 13 years. He was flogging some gutter guard product.

We chatted for about 15 mins and it turns out that the only thing he really misses is the football aka soccer!

I don't think I'll run into him again 'cos he lives in Fuquay-Varina and works in deepest Raleigh.

You must be referring to Fuquay-Varina.

Here's the origin of the town's name:

I've not actually been there but I've driven through downtown several times...
