i can give you my timeline. the london embassy had my fiancé's approved
petition and my complete packet 3 by mid august this year. it took till
september 9 for them to get it all on computer. and according to what they told
me the ('six weeks but we've had a bit of a backlog') waiting starts there. i'm
still waiting to hear my interview datet. think the postman thinks i fancy him
the way i dash to the door every morning!
let us know how it goes with you. good luck.

Did you open a provisional file in London while the 129F was being processed in the US? I heard that this speeds up the process.

pete, you can simply download the packet 3 forms from the embassy website and
send them in. stick a covering letter with it explaining your US fiancé is
waiting on petition approval for you.
not all embassies will allow you to do this but the london embassy tells you on
their site that you're welcome to and that it will speed up your process
because they can get your details onto computer in advance of them receiving
your 129F.
when i sent mine in i sent it registered post and was glad i did because i
didn't hear anything for ages. it does take them a few weeks to get the stuff
on computer. but it will speed things up when you eventually get your approval.
good luck

Re: How long B4 interview in London?
Aha.. thanks Scarlett and Ron.. I thought it may be something like that,
which is why I have filled out the forms and have them ready in the envelope
to send tomorrow..
I have "cheated" slightly as my handwriting isnt the worlds tidiest and used
Adobe Acrobat full version to fill the forms in where I was permitted to.. I
had to change font sizes to cram it in in places, but, the important things
is, that its all ledgible ;-)
Woo Hoo..

woo hoo! woo hoo!
you're on your way!
...and using fillable forms isn't cheating. it makes sense. i didn't know how
to shrink the font in order to get all the info in so ended up doing everything
by hand.
i'm still waiting, waiting to hear about my interview. i have an important lit
exam in a week but finding it so hard to concentrate on revision. all i want to
do is chase the postman!
god, the thought of being with garth by christmas...
how i'd love to be posting here, struggling with aos (that comment will come
back to haunt me!), but still, it would mean we were together at last. i'm so
used to goodbyes it's going to take time to get used to not having to say them
anymore...
woo hoo for all of us!
because we'll get there!
