i have to say to you then don't read these type of threads...go and do some debating with that crowd and leave us alone. we don't want to offend you so it makes sense to look elsewhere.

I wasn't specifically referring to you, it's the general "Americans" this "Americans" that, like everyone here thinks the same way, behaves the same way.
Most of the people I know don't fit the "British expat.com" stereotype portrayed here by the same old crowd. My children are Americans so I take it personal.

Some people don't always have an easy start to life in the US and I think that for some, moaning on here is a release valve. I imagine that it stops them from moaning in public. That's how it is for me anyway. If you met me out and about in Pittsburgh you would think I had never been happier in my life.
Most of the time now I am OK here but not being able to work is beginning to take it's toll again.

I have an American child, darn proud of him, I have an American wife, darn proud of her, I have American family, love them, I have American friends, get on well with them, they like me.
I am an AMERICAN. Most people on here also have these connections to the USA.
