Hey Immunise, where in SF are you? I can't believe you hate it so much in one of the most exciting cities in the world but can totally relate to your homesickness. If you want to come for a beer in the warmth of the Penninsula, I'm up for it!

I am in Sausalito, which is really nice...and heaven compared to LA. My homesickness is a lot better since I left Los Angeles - it was just too much to take! I don't know much about SF but I have noticed a few Scottish owned bars here in Sausalito and a LOT of Irish bars, businesses in SF itself. Also, I can easily get essential food from home at Cost Plus and BevMo! of all places!! I have a job lot of Dairy Milk, Double Decker, etc etc here as my Parents and then my brother were all here within a week of each other so that obviously helped - god what I'd do for some real bread and a decent pint though!

I'm kinda the opposite to homesickness. I watched BBC America for the first time in ages last weekend and hearing the accents and watching the Britisms made it rather weird to watch. Almost made me cringe. I've now been here over 15 months and still not had one moment when I wished I was "home".

I had a really difficult time when we moved to the States from Greece. I hated every second of it, and we left after a year. Haven't been back since As for the UK, that wasn't an easy transition either, but I really feel like I'm settling well, and I'm always really happy to return to London after a few days abroad
