I prefer Discworld. I liked Hitchhikers but not as much as Pratchetts stuff.

Lord of The Rings gets my vote for the all time best Fantasy book though. Hence my nice Gandalf tattoo

Ahhh good boy my hubby likes hitchhikers but not the discworld and i'm the opposite, just wondered which you prefered, as for LOR that's something we both enjoy

Discworld...think that's the series....got a couple for BIL for x-mas...he's into the whole fantasy stuff, but not read any of 'em...

I wholeheartedly agree with all of your above points. I loved it when it was made, and it was great, it's just that I felt that it deserved so very much more (resources) than the BBC was able to give it.

Not only that, I was disappointed that the BBC never made any more episodes after the first series and yet just a few year later was able to make multiple series of the (very funny but) somewhat low-brow Red Dwarf.
