Hey! Long time no post!
Hey Guys!!
Just thought i'd drop by and say hello!
So I used this forum around a year and a half ago to help me TREMENDOUSLY with filing for a CR1 via DCF.
I have been living in NYC for over a year now (moved here Oct 2017) and absolutely loving every minute. Having no issues settling in and haven't thought or missed living in London as my mum visits every 3-4 months for a week and my best friend visited for Thanksgiving in November.
At times it can be lonely as I work in a very male dominated industry in Wall Street however I am always so busy with work or at home with my toddler and husband the feeling passes quickly.
My grandma in London passed away from Cancer 8 months ago and had a VERY short battle which was the HARDEST part about being so far away as I couldn't get home but I do not regret my choice of moving,
NY'er's are so friendly compared to Londoners and my daughter is flourishing in daycare.
Another year and I can start thinking about becoming a citizen so i'm sure i'll be back to pick so brains then however just wanted to say THANK YOU again!!
You are invaluable!!
xoxo

Glad you're having a good life in the USA.
I assume you did the removal of conditions at the appropriate time?

I didn’t have any conditions as we were married over two years.

Hi viitav! It's lovely to hear from you, and I'm so glad to hear that you've settled in so beautifully! Very sorry to hear about your loss. I can only imagine how hard it is, and I dread the day I have to go through anything similar myself. It must be one of the saddest things we sign up for as expats.
Here's to a less eventful but equally bright 2019 for you and your family!
