Default Here we go, here we go, here we go...

(PS Dont read this if you dont want to know about hurricanes and Florida)

Our first expected Hurricance should make landfall in South FLA sometime round Friday/Saturday and is expected to be a cat 1 or 2 called "Dennis" (TS "Cindy" should be named in the Gulf first apparently).

Now to watch all the panic buying by Noo Yoikers on zimmer frames as the world comes to and end.

Personally I'm hoping for Friday as then the weekend wont be a write off. But either way the airport delays are likely to be horrendous all over the weekend.

Height of the season is September/October. Right now theres 3 tropical systems all developing at once, which is highly unsual for early July, when an average year only sees 2 systems for the whole month.

What are you coming down here for Manc?

Yes it's almost impossible to get alcohol in Michigan. They hardly drink at all.

I look forward to the storms. not the bad ones that take lives and do extensive damage :scared: , but the smaller ones that bring some rain and much needed cloud cover and a drop (somewhat) in temps. Otherwise this Florida heat gets to be too much day after day.
(my last hurricane season here! yay!!!)

don't worry you will find some other extreme weather condition to worry about in the uk.......like the fact it pisses it down 360 days a year and we still have a drought.

aaah yes, but you live in Yorkshire.

remember about 8 years ago or so, they were trucking water in from Northumberland?

You notice that the droughts got worse after the water companies were privatised?

dunno yet, looked at Key Largo, and emmals showed me the place near Bradenton where her and Jay stay.

The kids have never really been on a sea/sand/hotel pool/relaxing by a beach bar holiday, and I think it would be kinda cool for them

but nothing is set in stone yet.
