Default Help with XeTrade

Hello All,

I know this has been touched on several times before, apologies in advanced.

I am looking to exchange USD to GBP, using XeTrade seems to be the best option, however they charge 10 GBP for a wire transfer. Which seems to be the only option available outside of Canada/USA.

Does anyone know how to avoid any fees when transferring from a US bank account to a UK one.

I have a Citibank account here in the US, the wire fee is $30 and the rates aren't as good as xe, just in case anyone was interested in Citibank's Global Transfer.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

I am very happy to handle the transaction for you for 74p, if that's an acceptable fee. I'll go as low as 32p if you haggle.

Just send me the cash. I'll convert it at 20% above the inter-bank rate, and transfer it to wherever you want. Trust me.

If you elect for a draft instead of wire, they will mail it to an address (and person, even) of your choosing in the UK for free - if you've got someone there who can pay it into your bank, you are sorted. Takes a bit longer than direct, obviously...but you do save your tenner.

Nationwide charges £20 for a wire transfer so XE is cheap.
