oops! didn't notice the date of the OP's last post, I guess you're right! Although after reading a few other threads lately, it could have been (another) oldie, back on under an 'assumed' name! lol. Lots of it going on lately I hear. I'm still learning the rules myself on here, but have noticed lately, a few members with 'account deleted' under their names, what does that mean? is that a members choice, or a 'spanking' from a mod'?

Hi Englishtart, and welcome.

Account deleted usually means the poster has deleted their own account because they no longer want to be known or post, OR because they've been a bit naughty and one of the MODS has deleted it for them! But they usually reappear under a different guise within a few weeks. If you keep reading daily then you'll be able to figure out who they are.

I'm in Lake County, Il. Been here a year and a half now. Really like it alot. Know what you mean about the mozzies in the summer.... you stay indoors all winter waiting for the weather to warm up and then when it does you STILL have to stay indoors to avoid getting munched on! :curse:

...makes no odds to me. I'm obviously THAT appealing to the little buggers that they will endure a gut-wrenching death just to get a taste of my sweet sweet nectar...

Well if it's that bad, go for a walk in the woods and pick up some ticks and chiggers, they'll make a skeeter bite seem like a kiss.

Being kissed by a mozzie. I'm picturing an ENORMOUS bug with huge eyes and a big ol' spikey mouth moving in for a kiss...

Thank you Keira, for the welcome

I think I have tried everything on the market (even home remedies) to keep them from 'dining' on me! I know that most insects have some sort of 'use' bees=honey etc, but I have yet to find anyone that knows what use mozzies have! The only thing that keeps them away from me, when I sit on my patio at night, is having one of those big outdoor fans blowing, they don't have strong enough wings to fly through that breeze!
