Hello,
Ive been in Chicago since March of this year and am really enjoying it. Before moving here I lived in Cardiff where Id lived since completing University there but was brought up in a Welsh family in errr..... Basingstoke.
Anyway I'm currently on a J1 visa which expires next September but could be moving on to the H1 visa before then. Suprisingly there seems to be quite a large Welsh community in these parts and I've met a few at the Celtic festival and in various pubs around the city. I had a really great summer but I dont know what this current weather is all about?? Roll on Spring...

but it is sunny, oh and im not a student it was just the easiest visa to get

Though getting a new H1 valid before your J1 expires, is unlikely, unless you can change status to it, but I didn't think you could, unless the employer is excempt from the quota such as a university.
