Can you tell if you look like them?
For him to be so great and welcoming has certainly got to be the nicest thing I've heard in a long time!
Count your blessings Postie wife... Someone must be watching over you!

Today, I sent off for the forms required to put my Dads name on my birth certificate. I don't know what is required as per 'proof' but keep your fingers crossed that it's nothing too difficult!
I do count my blessings. I guess I have a guardian angel out there flapping her wings at double speed!

I've been married for 12 years to Todd and we have 3 children. Brittany is 11, Ryan is 8 and Tyler is 7.
I don't work because I'm an avid suporter of Stay at Home Mums. Besides I don't really know what I would do now.
I was an Auxilliary Nurse in the UK and an Office Mgr here in the US for 5 years.
I filed insurance claims and took care of all aspects of customer care for an auto dealership. -- It was very challenging and the customers all swore they came back because I worked there and refused to deal with anyone but me.
I love people... I always have gone out of my way to be around them. If I go back to work when my kids are older I'll have to find a job that is something like this... I've built web sites for a few people, but basically love the graphic editing the most.
Who knows... I really loved nursing too.

I love people too. I'm an avid people watcher and love to keep my brain active wondering what the man or woman opposite me in a cafe or shop does for a living, if they are married etc. Maybe it's the nosiness in me! Ha! Ha!

Is your Mum happy for you to go to the US? The reason I ask is I too will be leaving my Mum who is now 70 to go to the US and it's a tough one. My Mum is backing us and our decision 100% but I still wish we didn't have to part at all and that she would be with us (she wouldn't want to live in the US again - she did not like it the first time either).
I'm so glad you wrote your story and can't wait to follow your steps until you finally land in the USA... keep us posted

He gave me a code so we can get a 5% discount... and also don't forget that the price for us inj the US is about 30% less too dependiong on daily exchange rate.
Anyhoo... I ordered more things last night and he cancelled my order because I was going to pay twice for shipping... That;s honesty for ya! He threw in an extra box of Ready Brek too!
Really nice bloke he is... Tell him I said to bung the stuff in for ya!

As for my story...... you really don't want me to type it - it's sooooooooooooooo long but heres the Very shortest version I can come up with.
Mum and Dad moved to Boston MA when I was 3. Dad was Fire Proof expert and had 'compound' that was of value to the US so therefore he was allowed into US under the 'special skill' allowance and we were all given green cards. Mother hated it there, wasn't allowed to work, felt trapped, wanted to be with her family in UK and after 27 years if mariage, left Father, taking me with her when I was 8. Father and older sister stayed in US and we went back to live with other older sister in London. Parents divorced when I was 9 or 10. Father died when I was 17. I have ALWAYS wanted to return to the US and have struggled to find a legal way to re-enter. Friends offered to marry me in all throughout my late teens and early 20's, but I didn't want to do it that way. When I turned 17 filed I-130 sibling petition and sister sponsored me. This was in 1990. I was told it would take 8 years for the priority date to come up, then 10 and finally 12. It's fair to say that many times I just gave it up as a waste of time and a lost dream. So much stuff happened during the wait (marriage, baby being the biggest). Early this year discovered on the off-chance whilst browsing the net that I was finally allowed an interview for AOS and with the determination of a dog digging for a bone, worked on getting my son and husband in with me too (no point without them). It was in Feb this year I found this site - thank god!
Finally SUCCESS just a week or so ago and now we are trying to sell house and find jobs and be with our family there (much like you)... and we can't wait to get going - I still can't believe we made it this far!
