I had to get coverage when I moved over here as a condition of them approving my visa.
buyamericaninsurance.com has some good policys, you can chose how long you want them for, and the prices are quite reasonable for the coverage. I never actually had to make a claim so I can't comment on how good they are if you actually need to use them though.
