All legal costs, medicals and gov fees associated with immigration are paid by my husband's employer so I suspect the lawyers go the long way round deliberately since it's a licence to print money for them.
In other news, my file date moved to current on this month's visa bulletin!! Green card is now imminent, two and a half years after first applying.

Although you may not want to risk it in my experience the UK are only interested in your UK passport coming in, and the yanks only ineterested in the GC - I've never had both looked at by the same people at the same time.
