Although, I do get a bit confused as the only card I can get is something like "Happy Valentines Day Father-in-Law" - and - even though I don't sign it, he knows who it's from :scared:
I can't wait for all my wifes friends to wear there love heart sweaters and then, oh what bliss after that, the sweaters with the Easter Bunnies...
How bloody sweet....

"I was looking for a birthday card for my (American & US-based) sister-in-law, whose birthday happens to be on Valentine's Day. Naively (thinking of the card selection I would have at my disposal in the US), I hoped to find a "Happy Valentine's Birthday" card -- of course, there was nonesuch. The 2 or 3 Happy Birthday Sister-In-Law cards were...yawn...boring. So I turned to look for a humorous card -- all of which appeared to be (for men and women) about either farting or getting pissed!!?!?!!! Huh Roll Eyes Huh Roll Eyes Huh Roll Eyes Hmmmmm - not QUITE what I had in mind. I commented on this to dear husband via msn messenger to which his reply was -- <<beaming proudly>> Tongue
Still haven't found my SIL's card! Carolyn B"

"I've asked DH about this, because I'm used to sending valentines to everyone -- friends, family, co-workers, etc. So, imagine my surprise when I went to get the cards and there were NONE for family. They were all for husband/wife/boyfriend/girlfriend. There were even partner and "lover" cards (mmm..ick...I don't like the word LOVER). There were very few generic valentines and even those were more lovey-dovey than generic in a friendly way. You can't even find those boxes of little valentines that kids give out in school! Undecided"

Re: Happy Valentines Day
I bought a couple of Valentine's things in Walmart this morning, and the checkout girl said, "Do you know that if you buy Valentine's merchandise this soon after Christmas, you're only encouraging them to put them on the shelves sooner." I just grinned.
