Post h1b visa

Hello
Im albert and i really need help, pls anyone could answer my question.

I got a tourist Visa before, and when i got here in USA, I found a work, and my employer worked my H1-B working VISA. THen my Visa is already a working visa, but next year I plan to have a vacation in my country. Somone told me that I cant leave the country until my working visa is not yet expired or I didnt bring a lawyer to the airport who will support my Visa and tell the immigration that i Can have a vacation.
Is This True?
Can someone help me

You don't have a work VISA ... you have H1B STATUS. If you leave the
US, you will need to take your passport and the form I-797 Approval
Notice to the US consulate in your country and have a passport VISA
stamped into your passport. When that's done, you can then re-enter the
US. Also, you should bring a letter from your employer showing that you
are still employed and returning from a vacation.

What you have been told is NOT true.
