from H1 to J1 to H1 again?

from H1 to J1 to H1 again?
My H1 was expired. I changed my status to J1. Is it possible to go back to H1 without going abroad if I get waiver?

Depends. If you have reached the 6 year H1 limit, you won't be able to get a new H1
unless you have stayed outside of the US for 1 year.
