Re: gun laws
actually that's what i asked these guys (i was their customer for 2 years) i asked them if that was the case, walking round with guns in holsters. then you could have, taxi driver style, 2 magnums in a holster or desert eagles and walk around the streets. the cops would waste you in half hour i reckon. not you per se, but someone with said "taxi driver" style guns. i'll get me coat...

Actually I have a penchant for autos instead of wheel guns (que Ray to tell me why thats bad) so I used to carry a lovely little Kahr PM9 9mm....slim, light, reliable and accurate. Perfect for pocket carry in shorts when it was hot (i.e all the time - I lived in FLA)

Re: gun laws
i went into a liquor store in georgia, and the guys that worked there were all carrying handguns on holsters. they told me that i was legal to carry a gun in a holster on the street. because its not considered a concealed weapon. this seems a bit odd as i never see guys walking around atlanta or georgia with handguns in holsters. surely its against the law?

Re: gun laws
So did you ever get that gun? Did you sit your concealed carry course?
The NRA is a great source of information on current gun laws:
http://www.nraila.org/statelawpdfs/GASL.pdf
They also have a list of states that will recognize your concealled carry permit.

I just moved from TX to CA and the gun laws here suck! My concealed carry permit is not recognized by CA, I even have to transport my magazines empty when traveling - its not enough to simply unclip the magazine. I enjoy tactical shooting, and I'm used to taking all 12 magazines loaded - not any more.
I just went to my local range with my own ammo and the SOB's do not allow wolf ammo!!!! FFS, I have 2,600 rounds of it left.
If you enjoy your right to own a firearm then can I suggest you consider joining the NRA, or Gun Owners of America (or both). They do a lot of great work educating gun owners, and the anti-gun groups.
