Default Green Cards at last!!!

After (just?) 8 months of waiting Mrs tonrob and I have just received our automated e-mails telling us that our adjustment of status has been approved and our cards have been ordered! Woo-hoo!

We had L-1/L-2 visas and the processing centre was Vermont if anyone's interested.

Just had to share...

Hi There, I am currently going through the L-1 Visa application and have an appointment at the US Embassy in January. Can I ask you how long you waited before applying for a Green Card?

We came in '96 on L's...we waited 12 mths before applying for the GC's.

Why don't you introduce yourself in the Meet and Greet section?

I had my original L-1 appointment in January 2005, moving here at the end of Feb. We actually dragged our feet for a year before sorting out our medicals etc. and had a receipt notice date of late April 06 when filing for our change of status.

I missed the original post, but CONGRATULATIONS!

We came over on H1-B/H4, and the three years it took to get our Green Cards were stressful beyond anything I ever want to face again. I'm sure it's a huge relief for you to have your shiny new Green Cards firmly in your hands!

I refer to your latest discharge of plebeian verbiage; in which, you have proven, once again, that there is no such thing as unutterable nonsense. Try learning elementary grammar before attempting to inflict your next literary abomination on this forum.
