Gold Plated Credit in a Year!!
OK - i know that this has been discussed many many times and some great and useful advice has been given. Also i am not showing off - i am just pleasantly surprised how quickly i have managed to build credit and hope others can benefit.
I got a US Amex based on my UK card with them. They gave me a 2.5k limit which i used regularly - sometimes up to the limit. After 6 months my bank (BOA) offered me their card and i now have 2 others as well. Then Amex substantially increased my limit. I get regular credit offers now that i dont take up!!
Now we changed the car yesterday and i thought i would have a pop at financing - not holding much hope as my history is only credit cards and no trade has been open over 14 months. Anyway got a number of prime offers with great rates - and FICO over 750 now!
Just wanted to share my amazement as i thought this would be a couple of years off
