Going through Security
When flying and you have screws and plates i:e ankle do you need a letter from your Surgeon for security...do they set alarms off?

Father in Law has 2 new knees and just mentions it before he goes through, they then always take his to the side and use the 'wand'. Hubby flew last year in a sling and they did the same thing. Neither took a letter but if it is easy enough to get one and it puts your mind at rest just get one.
