GEDs and diplomas
Hi everyone,
Just wondering. Say if you are a new arrival to the USA and have never studied there. What do you do if a job vacancy specifies that you must have a GED or a diploma, and of course, as you have not attended school in the USA, you dont have either?

What I would do is put down the UK equivalent. GED or diploma simply means high school graduate, so as long as you have completed appropriate levels in the UK it would be ok.

I was going to ask a similar question about Degrees. I was just filling out an online resume and got totally stuck when it came to trying to list my college qualifications from the UK!! I have RSA's and computer related units, but i don't know if all those would equate to what they call a 'degree' here. I guess i'm gonna have to wing it and hope for the best!!
