I live in West LA and its often 3.69 a gallon regular (my Jeep wants Premium - $3.89!), I always fill up at a gas station near work (24 miles south) and its usually always 25c a gallon less than the city price

Has the rising price had any effect on your travel habits yet? I have been a little more consious about just going to the mall etc without any really good reason.

It's actually dropped to $3.34 (for the cheap stuff) just in time... I need to fill my tank!

like you say, only use premium of your manual says so, but many non-domestic cars, not just turbo or very highly tuned cars need that premium octane nowadays

often the cars that do need the premium gas will detune themselves if run on non-premium

i'm not sure I would classify acura as anything particularly sporty, but i'm pretty sure they fall into the category of 'detune without premium gas' category...

its really just down to the individual vehicle, we stick regular in the missus's jeep and in my avalanche and they both run completely fine...

Similar here, dropped a few cents yesterday to 2.92, but if I use my Kroger card at their pumps it's 10 cents a gallon cheaper. I do 100 miles a day too.

Last night it was $2.89, $2.99 and $3.09 at Exxon so I am guessing that Costco may be a few cents cheaper.
